About Our Pilates
Our Approach
Return to doing the day to day things you LOVE
We have a wealth of expertise in rehabilitation and are passionate about the positive effects that Pilates has on the body. We specialise in clinical Pilates and are in the process to create over 40 customised programmes that address injuries, chronic conditions and include sciatica, back pain, joint replacements, osteoporosis and more. We have a holistic approach and aim to treat the whole you. Our exercise programmes are progressive and safe, allowing you to work at your own pace with an emphasis on technique and individual progress. Everyone is unique, no one size fits all.
Little and often is the key to SUCCESS
Pilates is an accessible discipline and to really feel and see the benefits of Pilates we suggest that you practise little and often. Therefore we have designed workouts that mostly range between 30 mins to 60mins in length. This will allow you to slot them into your schedule becoming part of your “new normal” lifestyle. These workouts are designed to increase muscle strength, endurance and flexibility along with improving your posture and balance. We encourage you to repeat sessions – you will always get more from the workout the second time around. You should aim to complete between two to four workouts a week. The more workouts you complete the quicker you will feel the benefits. We all have busy schedules so plan wisely and in no time at all you will be hooked to the world of Pilates.
Mat Classes
Our matwork classes will help you to create a balanced, strong, stable and co-ordinated body.
Throughout the classes you will use your body weight to provide the resistance that your muscles need to strengthen effectively. You will focus on improving your posture, core strength, joint strength, balance, flexibility and mobility.
Our exercises are progressive and safe, allowing you to work at your own pace with an emphasis on technique and individual progress.
Our programmes aim to restore a good range of movement to the injured area without aggravating it. As a result, you can return to your normal daily routine. The beauty of this programme is that it is 3 tiered, starting with the Pilates Principles. The programmes increase in complexity with each level. At the end of each programme, we ask you to complete an evaluation so we can signpost you to the next appropriate workout for you.
